SPSV Area Knowledge: learn locations before you test yourself

NTA announced that the revised Area Knowledge approach places less emphasis on memorising specific routes and street names, while continuing to expect above-average knowledge of popular and important locations.

For each place, connect the name to its district or area, the road or street it is on, and nearby landmarks or important locations. Those relationships are more useful than memorising isolated answer letters.

In normal Practice, choose an answer and submit before seeing the correct answer, explanation and any verified Visual Learning that is available. Visual Learning is an aid, not a substitute for the verified answer data.

Practice is for learning. Smart Practice is for fast recall. Mock Tests withhold teaching until completion. Using the right mode at the right time prevents practice from becoming passive answer-reading.
